Trend for Easter flowers, is lots of color

Lots of color isn't just for Easter eggs this year. Color is also the big trend in Spring flowers. Color, color, color is the biggest thing Rose Jackson from Anything with Plants says her customers want.
This is the season representing rebirth, so bright pinks, yellows and purple are a big hit, Jackson says.

Jackson says purple is the most popular color this Easter. She says Anything with Plants sells out of lavender roses everyday.

While bright colors are popular, the traditional white Easter Lily is still a favorite. The Lily symbolizes purity and majesty. The Lily also serves as a reminder to Christians of the new life that comes through the resurrection of Jesus.

To keep your Easter Lily longer, Jackson recommends pinching off the anther, the pollen-producing part that sticks out the center.

The most important thing to remember about Easter arrangements is do what you like, Jackson says. Pick the colors and flower varieties that appeal most to you.
